What is needed in the upgrade of V8 brakes to TT brakes?
On the front is it only the rotors and calipers, or do you need the TT stub axles as well? On the rear do you need the rotors and the calipers? What about the hand brake-is it the same size on both models? What sort of cost 2nd hand?
Any info apreciated.

Ian, FRONT:Rotors & Calipers (Plus TT dust shields if you can get em), if not bend the old ones back to obtain rotor clearance.

REAR:Rotors & Calipers. Hand brake IS same size.

Some people just do the fronts, as this gives you the most "Bang for buck", and your ABS will handle any front/rear imbalance. But MY preference would be to do both.

Don't know on cost, but have seen em for $400 2nd.hand for the complete front & rear set.

Also suggest Maltech braided brake hoses for better pedal "Feel" and brake "Bite" (Approx $450 a set).

Even the Supra brakes are straight bolt-on all round.

I was speaking to somebody at Cresta today who said Supra front end bits are getting pretty hard to source - I'll have to try a few other places as I also want to upgrade my brakes.

There was someone selling two complete sets on ALSC recently.
They turn up on Yahoo in Japan regularly and Jeff Harper gets the odd set in.

Don't forget the 94 on Celsior brake upgrade. BIG 4 pots, and BIG disc's.............Look just the dogs bollocks when painted up.
And not as expensive as Supra up-grade.

Yeah they have the same advantage of a non-sliding caliper too (and therefore a non-sticking one) but they don't look like this;

Don
Doesn't the 94 on Celsior brakes need minor machining to fit?

/me grumbles at DBA for not speeding up production of JZA80 rear discs. The missing piece(s) in my brake conversion :-(
