Buy mine and see if you like it. I have one on my road car, and track car, with one surplus. I like the confidence of the firmer pedal, and the knowledge that more of my braking effort is making it to the pads.

Home made, out of mild steel, painted black so it doesn't stand out. I think I'm asking $20. It is in this thread...

My trial and error has found that if the vertical bracing doesn't extend past the bolt holes, it will flex and bend. Of course, if you make it out of sufficiently thick materials the flex will be less.
