Okay, as a bit if an FYI for those in the market for Big(ger) Brakes.

1. Toyota Supra Four Piston front, Two piston Rear monoblock Calipers. See here for fitment and specifications:
http://www.planetsoarer.com/suprabrakesII/SupraBrakeUpgrade.htm

I have spoken to Curt Aigner from Elmhurst Toyota in The US and A. He can send you these calipers @ USD$250 each per caliper, front or rear, with the required hardware (the pins and anti rattle clips) plus freight.

To freight 4 calipers to your door in Australia will set you back exactly USD$1375 inc shipping. Correct as at 1/4/2008. This is a direct bolt on replacement, however IT DOES REQUIRE LARGER DIAMETER ROTORS: 324mm Front and 325mm Rear. These are SUPRA TT 6 Speed brakes.

Go here: http://elmhursttoyota.elmhurstautogroup.com/site/service_and_parts and click on the "Parts Request" button, and fill ou the form. Elmhurst supply all sorts of great OE Toyota stuff at dirt cheap preices, and while many 2JZ parts are simialr to 1JZ parts (i.e. coil packs), elmhurst can not supply 1JZ-GTE parts.
Curt Aigner is the man. These are the Supra Front 4 piston Brakes (they arent gold from factory though, normally black:

Upload

Celsior 4 Pot brake calipers: Front only

These require 1995 onwards 315mm LS400/Celsior rotors.
I do not have a NEW supplier for these, although i did find these guys in the US and A that sell fully loaded remanufactured kits.

Go to http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php and search through the catalogue to select

*LEXUS

then select

*1995

then select

*LS400

then select

*Brakes/Hub/Wheel

then select

*Caliper

then you can choose your calipers: I would select the RAYBESTOS Part # RC10725QS (right front caliper) and click on the 'shopping trolley' icon to add it to your cart.

Then click the "Continue Shopping' icon and select RAYBESTOS Part # RC10726QS (left front caliper) . Click the 'shopping trolley' icon to add to cart.

Select your Freight details, i.e. Country, POstal code and type of freight required.

To send these two calipers to my door in Australia, post code 0820 is a total of USD$314.29 via International Priority mail.

Thats $314.29, for one left, and on right, 4 piston, front LS400 1995-2000 model calipers. deliverd to your door. THESE BRAKES COME FULLY LOADED, PAD, SHIM, CLIPS, ANTI RATTLE

Looks just like these:

Alright, hope this helps. Feel free to ask me for any assistance, but just to clarify:

JZA80 SUPRA 4POT FRONT/2 POT REAR CALIPERS: USD$250each plus freight from Elmhurst Toyota in the US and A. Includes hardware, but no pads.

UCF20/21 CELSIOR 4 POT FRONT ONLY

Can't you get these from NZ Toyota for about the same price? There's an old thread on the SupraForums somewhere.

Rory from NZ (Wellington) Toyota can get the Supra 4 pot front and 2 pot rear brand new for a bit cheaper.

It costed me just under $1100 and that was posted to my door (post code 2759) that also included fitting kits (you have to ask for these)

He can also supply TRD rotors and brake pads for very good prices.

More info check out this thread in Supra forums:

Had a look at that forum link, did the maths,

Comes to about $1007.11c AUSTRALIAN PLUS FREIGHT from Rory in NZ. Thats quite a bit cheaper at that price. However, that post IS almost TWO YEARS OLD now.

I have emailed him (Rory in NZ) for current pricing, as soon as I get a confirmation that:

a) They are still available
b) They still ship to Australia
c) Freight prices are confirmed

....I will post up the details of how much it costs *exactly* to get a set of 4 calipers from NZ toyota. Could work out significantly cheaper as there is cheaper freight. But more importantly, you could get the slotted TRD rotors at a very good price if the freight is up to scratch.

Now, the guy who posted the supraforums thread paid over $150.00 to ship all of his gear via surface mail, so that could save alot of dosh, but will take a lot longer.

Elmhurst Toyota in US and A (!) ship theirs via UPS, which takes only 6 days. I actually got an Alternator, Water Pump, Steering Pump and a whole lot of coil packs and other bits shipped via UPS and they are awesomely fast and accurate, with tracking numbers etc....

Believe me, having lost a 19x9.5" Euroline DH mag wheel with brand new 265/30/19 tyre just recently from a 'budget' courier company, I can assure you there is great value in getting a good transport/freight company to look after your big purchases.

Will post more as details come to light. In the meantime, I understand that a lot of people have had some good prices/experiences in the past, but if possible can we keep the thread to *CURRENT* pricing and availability. The forums are already littered with all sorts of unconfirmed theories and guestimates.

Im trying to make this *THE* current thread for info on getting your hands on the brakes you are after without having to search for more information after reading through heaps of peoples comments.

Cheers :-)

PS not dissing anyone who has info on other places, just try to post useful stuff with *CURRENT* prices/methods/contact details.
Having dealt personally with Elmhurst Toyota and the guys at RockAuto, I can say with confidence that they are the real deal.

Also, you will be pleasently surprised with how your Customs value slip appears when you get stuff worth much more than $1000 US sent to you from Elmhurst Toyota:-) I was very happy :-) nudge nudge wink wink dont wanna say it out loud etc...

Alright check this out: Posted late November last year (21/11/07). Taken from the Supraforums.com.au site. Looks good!

**************************************************************************************************** *************
Hello Fellas,

This is Rory from Rutherford & Bond Toyota in Wellington. Just to clear a couple of things up. Kevin no longer works in parts, he has now been appointed Service Manager and therefore can not help you with any enquiries re parts.

Secondly, our prices on Supra brake parts have NOT increased despite what some are saying. The prices quoted in the original post of this thread were EXCLUDING freight costs. I don't see the point in quoting you a nice cheap price, and then whacking $200 worth of freight on top when it comes time for you to place an order, I prefer to quote you the total price including freight so that there are no surprises.

Unfortunately for you guys, we have had to increase our price on freight of Front Rotors, which has increased from $65NZD to $90NZD (as we were losing money) and we have now started charging $12.50 (our cost) for each of the caliper fitting kits which have an RRP of $72NZD. These were previously being thrown in for free, but unfrotunately we have been told to stop this by our CEO.

We make very little on these brake parts, we mainly offer this service as it increases our purchases from Toyota NZ (which we get a kickback from at the end of the month) and we believe your local Toyota Dealership pricing and support of such a great car like the JZA80 Supra is rather inadequate, so we like to help you Supra enthusiasts out.

Here is our pricing, with freight in brackets. I send each parcel seperately, that way your orders dont get stuck in customs.

Front 4-Pot Calipers: $560 NZD per pair (+ $65 freight)

Front OEM Rotors: $190 NZD per pair (+ $90 freight)

Rear 2-Pot Calipers: $560 NZD per pair (+ $65 freight)

Rear OEM Rotors: $270 NZD per pair (+ $65 freight)

Front Fitting Kit - $12.50 NZD (Packed with front calipers so no freight)

Rear Fitting Kit - $12.50 NZD (Packed with rear calipers so no freight)

So for the above total kit the price is $1890 ($1620 Australian 1/4/2008) NZD including freight to your door. We feel this is a very good price and hope you can understand that we have to move with the times, it is not viable for us to be operating at a loss on parts or freight.

Plus some other pricing:

Front OEM Pads - $74 NZD per set (+$25 freight)
Rear OEM Pads - $74 NZD per set (+$25 freight)
Front TRD Rotors - $560 NZD per pair (+$90 freight)
Front TRD Red Pads - $285 NZD per set (+$25 freight)
Rear TRD Red Pads - $285NZD per set (+$25 freight)
Front TRD Black Pads - $225 NZD per set (+$25freight)
Rear TRD Black Pads - $225 NZD per set (+$25 freight)
Facelift Plastic Headlamps - $495 NZD each (+$50 freight)
Euro Glass Headlamps - $450 NZD each (+$50 freight)

I look forward to dealing with you in the future.

That price of just under $1100 for 4 Supra calipers i posted is a CURRENT price.

I bought them just 2 weeks ago, and they only took about 4-5 days to arrive, of course it will vary depending where you live.

E-mail from Rory:

Hi Leo,

Prices as follows:

Front Calipers - $625 NZD pair
Front OEM Rotors - $280 NZD pair
Front TRD Rotors - $625 NZD pair
Front Fitting Kit - $12.50 NZD
Front OEM Pads - $99 NZD set
TRD Black Pads - $250 NZD set
TRD Red Pads - $310 NZD set

Rear Calipers - $625 NZD pair
Rear Fitting Kit - $12.50 NZD
Rear OEM Rotors - $335 NZD pair
Rear OEM Pads - $99 NZD set
TRD Black Pads - $250 NZD set
TRD Red Pads - $310 NZD set

These are all freight INCLUSIVE prices. So basically just pick out what you
want from this list and add the total up. I have had a few people buy the
dust covers, but I dont believe they are needed for fitment. Dust covers
for the front are $170 NZD pair

Thanks

Also remember all those prices already include postage! so all you have to do is add up all the parts you want then convert into AUD.

I used this ====> http://www.xe.com/ucc/

The 4 piston calipers front (pair) and 2 piston caliper rear come in 2 seperate boxes. With each caliper in another individual box.

So my personal experience with Rory was great had no problems.

Seems to be the cheapest prices for BRAND NEW Supra calipers anywhere at the moment.

Cheers,

Yeah did you ask Rory what happen about the rear TRD rotors? maybe just out of stock?

I fitted my Supra brakes, front and rear last night using Maltech lines. They were great. Correct length and positions. The only thing they were missing was a locating tag that sits on the rear of the caliper. It stops the lines from twisting. It just means more pressure is on the bolt itself, rather than this tag.

I dont know if this will cause any problems but apart from that it fit sexy time. Didnt even need to change my wheels. I have about 3mm between the outside of the caliper and my wheels. Although I did have to remove the wheel weights from the inside and I'll get some more for the outside of the wheel.
