Hi guys,

Probably a bit of an unusual question, but my TT has really sensitive brakes, even more so than my V8 with the 4 pot aristo caliper conversion...

The slightest accidental error in the freeplay point and the passengers are ejected out the windscreen..

They don't pull left or right, they don't make bad noises, they don't seem to be terribly warped (there is some shudder at high speed braking)

Is this just a trait of the TT's without the nitrogen accumulator?

I have driven a BA falcon which I thought to be very sensitive, these seem more so.

Try different brake pads. Any idea what you have now?

Nothing wrong with good brakes, you just have to get used to them.

Lots of modern cars have extremely sharp brakes (09/10). Hop into a 2010 Golf and you'll see what I mean, at speed there nice, but if your below 20km they'll bite and stop the car immediately, it seems to be the way on the newer cheaper euro cars.

You shouldn’t worry about your brakes being too good, just don’t press so hard.

Indeed - My Soarer's brakes bite very hard and fast, but my wife's Primera is even more sensitive at low speeds! Probably because its so much lighter than the Soarer.
