Fitted TT front rotors & calipers to my car today, was surprised to find that the original V8 calipers were twin piston,I thought I had read on here that V8's had single piston calipers and that was the major reason for upgrading. Any ideas?

http://www.planetsoarer.com/suprabrakesII/SupraBrakeUpgrade.htm says the V8 ones are two-pot. I have no other source. If it reassures you, in directly comparable tests (same braking point and speed on the same road) I found the TT brakes to produce more braking force than the V8 ones.

The major drawback is that both have their two pots on one side of the caliper and nothing on the other necessitating the use of sliding calipers which do stick and jam and carry on. The Celsior, Supra and other 4 pot calipers have two pots on each side so no sliding is needed.

It was the constant jamming of front calipers that made me replace them with 4pots not the need for better brakes. I got sick of rebuilding/replacing sticking slides.
