I own a 91 V8 soarer and at the moment its stock. My brakes are pretty much dead so i was wondering if anyone could help me find new ones. I want to buy big and good quality brakes and pads, i need fronts and backs. I'm going to be buying new wheels also probably 19s so i need brake that will fit. If anyone could give me some advice or know anywhere i can buy some amazing brakes i would love the help.

G'day Mate,
for your car just about everything will be an upgrade. Working from low to high:
1. Get the larger front discs and calipers from a TT Soarer, or non turbo Supra. Very simple swap, decent upgrade.
2. Get the larger front discs and calipers from a Celsior. Bigger disc and 4 pot caliper. Big upgrade. Downside: performance pads are hard to find, will need to modify the backing plate.
3. Do a full front and rear swap from the TT Supra so you get 4 pot front 2 pot rears. Excellent braking, OEM quality, loads of pads choice. Downside: cost of second hand parts in Aust is absurd (buy new from NZ Toyota is a better bet) and you need to modify or remove the backing plate from the front.
Other options:
4. Damien (frozenpod) had some dog bones fabricated to fit the FPV Brembos to the front. This would be a very effective upgrade, and Brembo bragging rights. He might have some left over to sell. Pretty costly exerscise.
5. Try one of the numerous chinese/korean/taiwanese made 4/6/8/12 pot setups for sale all over the net. D2, G4, K2(? did I make that up?) and a hundred other companies sell them. They all have the same curved slotted rotor and the callipers are the same, just different paint jobs. I don't know anyone who has a set on their car.

I am guessing the car is a UZZ31? If so simple upgrade is to TT front calipers. It will give you better bite. The UZZ32 use the same front calipers. The rear calipers are all the same.
I would upgrade to TT front with slotted rotors and either use lucas or QFM pads. Flush with new brake fluid and it should be all good. The rears just leave normal.
I am still running the std V8 front brakes as I have the std front 15 inch rims. I have RDA slotted rotors with lucas pads. Rears are just std rotors and i am guessing still the OEM pads as rears dont dust as much as the front. Down the track i will upgrade to the TT fronts.

you can get they part numbers off toyodiy.com. Try rutherford and bond toyota in NZ (talk to Rory) they may have TT brakes brand new at a reasonable price i have a full set of tt calipers if you wanted to get them rebuilt. this may be a cheeper option.

If you are serious about brand new everything, I would seriously consider the Supra 4/2 pot upgrade then. Yes it is a little more work, but is a massive step up from the TT 2/1 pot brakes.
I just figure the TT upgrade is attractive as you can get them second hand easily and cheaply, but if you are going to fork out for new parts they might be similar in price to the big brakes.

630 pounds is about $940 AU. No idea what their shipping costs are like. For a comparison, I got my front 4 pot setup complete landed for a $1000 from rutherford and bond toyota NZ. That was 3 years ago when the dollar was crap.

What are required for the supra 4pot conversion? Is it just a case of straight swap rotors and calipers or are there brackets bolts or new lines that also need to be swapped?
