Howdy guys,

Anyone had this before.

Start car "BONG!" Brake Fluid Level error comes up. Put hand brake down. Error goes away straight away.

With handbrake up pushing brakes does not remove error.

Had my accumulator regassed recently and brakes work great.

I have a bad feeling it may be a sensor fault and am just tempted to remove the level sensor (these cars are getting old and cranky)

Anyone have some quick wins here - a fuse maybe? - I am going to top the out of the DOT tonight

40 X pump - open fluid. Start car. wait for it to drain out, turn off car, fill, cap. Prolly get stuff all through driveway but i want to be sure it isn;t really the fluid (doubt it very much)

disconnect the sensor and see if the error goes.

Fluid needs to be slightly above the full mark.

There is a tut on here on how to remove and clean the sensor if that is the problem

Hi Tom,

Love the fact you always have time to reply to everyone.

Figured it out.

I DC's the sensor loom - no error.

I then cleaned the loom as I figured it probably got some overflow of fluid over the years stopping good conductivity.

2 days later, still working great.

So it was the loom that caused the warning? Maybe the plug?
