Hi,

I have no idea what brake pads will fit the Soarer.

So - that's where you fine people come in :-)

I need a set of front pads.
I have no idea what will or won't fit.
I am unsure if the Soarer requires some kind of special pad or so on.

If you could, please take a look at this link and advise which brake pads to pick up - that would be terrific.

http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/parts-and-maintenance/brakes-and-driveline/disc-pads.a spx?id=50901&articleType=Disc%20Brake%20Pads&priceTo=70

Did a search but most of the threads here simply say "upgrade to TT or Supra brakes" - without supplying part numbers or so on.

If you could advise which pads to pick up, I would be most happy.

Thanks :-)

You can probably do better than those fairly generic brand pads.

Depends what you're wanting to do, but you'd be better off with some more reputable brand parts.

Bendix, EBC, Hawk, OEM Toyota etc.

Noise, bite and dust are the key things to consider.

Rob just to clarify, when people speak of JZZ30 or JZA80 TT brakes as you have mentioned they are referring to an actual caliper upgrade, not brake pad.

If I have misinterpreted what you have wrote, check out this page
http://planetsoarer.com/suprabrakesII/SupraBrakeUpgrade.htm for a multitude of part numbers needed for the A80 BBK.

Seeing as you are in Victoria, a brake supplier which I have dealt with numerous times for my own cars whom stock a large range of quality pads (some of which Mike has mentioned above) for very reasonable prices I recommend you get in contact with: http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/performancecarpartsonline?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

Hard to believe the guy who loves digging up old threads missed out on that.

Also,
What can I say? I'm oldschool

I will always keep older posts alive if new information is relevant.
No use making a whole new post if a post from 3 years ago has the same information and simply needs updating.

If a post should not be necroed - it should be locked. Otherwise, shaddap.

Aside from that - This thread is terrific, and information gained from this particular thread will help thousands.

Thanks :-)
