Hey all, I'm doing my brakes on the weekend on my 1991 V8 Limited (standard everything) and i've got some lucas pads. Sprint Auto sold me the wrong rear pads (DB1234 - LS400 pads) and I'll have to swap them over for the DB1396 just wondering if anyone can confirm they gave me the right front pads Lucas DB1209. Thanks -ash

If you end up having to pull the wheel off to match them up, can you post up what you find? I'm the the same boat trying to find front pads other than genuine toyota which run at $108 a set.

SC400 pads come up as an EBC DP21007 but the EBC guy in brisbane couldn't confirm if they'd fit nor could any other places give a bendix number for the equivalent. Google searches bring up bits and pieces from the old ALSC forum but the search here dons't seem to find the posts.

The old ALSC google cache is where I pulled the 1209 info from. Hoping that will be ok. I'll be swapping the 1234's over tomorrow night. I'll post my results up and let you know how I go. I'll be might angry if the 1209's don't fit. Odd that no-one has this info up. Maybe everyone has upgraded to the TT brakes at the front... :-/

I just had a talk to Dave at Enfield Brake and Clutch Service (08) 8260 4141 and he has the 1209 listed for the V8 fronts. Interestingly the pads are apparently about the same size as the TT pads, the main difference being the size of the mounting tabs. I would have thought the pads would be not as wide at least, going to be interesting to see if you guys can get them to fit. Ashley, you might want to get in touch with Dave if the 1209's don't fit, I think he would be happy to help check it out.

All done on Saturday afternoon. Would have been the easiest brake job that I've ever done. The existing pads weren't all that worn bust must have been fairly cheep ones. The new pads feel so much better. So for the record for Standard V8 brakes the pads are in fact the DB1209 and the rears DB1396. It all went off without a hitch.

No problems. I can really recommend that anyone that is thinking about doing their brakes on a stock V8 pay the few extra dollars and get Lucas Pads, you couldn't be happier~! It actually feels like the ABS is working now. Very impressive. -ash

That's a good question. I think from memory if cost me about $130 all up Fronts $75 Rears $55 Or there abouts. I can double check when I get home I still have the invoice, (I'm at work at the moment) They were a bit more expensive that then generic ones. But Lucas is a good brand.

Mate, A 30 cent phone call to any parts supplier will answer your question. 5 minutes using the search function will also probably answer it.
