Hey Guys,

After sticking my pretty 18" wheels on my car I've noticed that the wheel hubs are very rusted and ugly looking (As in the side wall where the wheel bolts onto the face of the rotor). The narrow spokes on my wheels make it very easy to see the rust behind them.

I'm wondering if I should paint the entire rotor hub black or somehow bring it up to splendor with some sanding and lacquer etc? Can anyone offer suggestions? Maybe just painting the lot black may help and painting the brake caliper red to suit the car..

yeh you can paint the hubs the same colour as your rotors.

My sister did that on her car, i told her not to bother, but it DID come out quite nicely, matchin hubs, rotors and car !

You would want to sand it either way, painting over the rust isn't a good idea.

Take 'em off and sand blast them, then paint them. You would probably want to avoid sand blasting the disc.
