Hey there, I just recently changed my discs and pads. I haven’t driven the car since I changed them (as I have no licence), and my driveway is flat so I never noticed, but my handbrake now doesn’t work. It has no resistance when you pull on it. Has anyone had this problem before? Or is there an adjustment you can make that I don’t know of?
My car is a chaser, so keep that in mind, but just in case mine is different to a soarer, the handbrake works by grabbing inside of the rear rotor. Sort of like the old drum brakes worked.
Any ideas???

1st / Remove rear wheel , let handbrake off, Adjust as per usual with shoes through the hole in the rotor that has a rubber bung in it.
2nd / Under the Handle itself you will find 2 x 10mm nuts (1 is for locking)loosen bottom one, then roll down a few threads,,then tighten top one down the thread to suite the amount of handle pull you want..then lock the bottom one up again.
There is a manual adjustment for the handbrake shoes that possibly needs adjustment as you have fitted new rotors, there should be a ratchet type arrangement behind a rubber plug that needs to be turned to pull the pads in.
