Hi all.

I have a 1982 MZ10 in malaysia, just owned it 6 months ago...and need some advice on that.

It has a 1G-GTE engine transplanted in it. (auto), and i have some problems with getting some parts for my beauty.

1. What manual transmission can i plug in for the 1G-GTE

2. The max i can go is about 150 in the speedo and i feel that the is so much lack of power, what can i do to boost...the twin turbo seems to be working fine.

3. What sort of suspension can i fix...having problem with what would be the compatible model

4. Where can i get parts (Tail light, front light and back lid)

Your assistance is highly appreciated as i think there is only less than 5 MZ10 in malaysia.

Thanks a million

1. A W57 from a GA70 supra will bolt in, you will need the manual driveshaft, clutch, clutch pedal and all the clutch lines aswell.

2. The 1ggte has about 210hp from factory so it isn't really a powerhouse but it should keep pulling to 180 without too much problem.

Fit a boost guage and see what it is boosting, should be 7-10psi i think.

Get a 3inch exhaust made up from the turbos downpipe and then you can turn the boost up to about 14psi to get some more power.

3&4 Are there guys in Malaysia that import aftermaket jap car parts?

Maybe try these guys

GA70 will have the wrong shifter position, so you'll have to source the shifter housing from an RA60, RA65 or MA61 (or manual MZ10)

Got confused with it being a Z20 for a second, shifter position is same as gx71/61 so a w series box from one of those will work with a z10.

Would a W58 fit well in her? Thats from the supra as well i think.

There are some used jap parts importers in malaysia, but frankly speaking 9 out of 10 importers dont even know what a soarer is and the 10th guy dont import or have soarer parts. :-(

Would it be possible to plug in a LSD for the MZ10?

W58 would also work with the correct shifter position which i am fairly sure is the rear position.

What series diff does it have? Have a look at the chassis plate, will be something like T292 or F289 but not necessarily those numbers.

Send the kazuto garage guys an email and they will sort ya out.

Z10's want the front position, not the rear.

He has an F292 diff.
LSD from an MA61 Supra will bolt in.
