Im sure this question come up often but I did search and could not find much.

Im looking to buy a 88/89 soarer with 1j conversion is there anything I should be looking for or looking to avoid.

Also if I do find an auto what type of dollars am I looking for a manual conversion?

nah had a 88 skyline import 2 door turbo as my 1st had that for a year or so then i bought a toyota celsior

My brother has a 1jz GZ20 Soarer with a 5sp, Excedy 5 puck clutch in it, he is planning on selling it this year. What sort of money were you looking at.
Its his daily driver with a HKS ecu and front mount intercooler, exhaust, 16 Supra alloys. He also has a power FC and hand controller, not installed that he will sell separetly, also for sale is JUN camgears and 440 cc injectors. He is in Qld and doens't get on the forums.

None that i know of, loss of rear rubber is the biggest problem they have.

Justin, yeah the guys that installed the first motor,led to it overheating. Second one was a dud and finally they got it right.
