Hi, I'm looking at buying a 7mgte Z20 Auto. Problems are that it idles rough and sometimes the gearbox gets stuck in 2nd and the speedo says 0km? Diagnostic came up as interrupted ECU signal? The owner says it's a bad speed sensor control? Any advice?
Fault with Speedometer, Wiring of Guage for 0km reading.
Stuck in Second, Faulty Gearbox Solenoids, Fault wiring, Faulty ECT Control Module or anything in Between, need to go through everything manually to find the fault.
Interrupted ECU Signal? I've never heard of that Error description. Check the codes and use the MK3 TSRM to find out what each code means.

Yeah, I never heard of it either. I'm having a good look at the car on Wednesday. What auto transmission could I use? Swap, fix? Could I use a a340e from a JZZ30 or 2JZGE? I really like the car but I think the transmission needs replacing. Advice??
Use a Transmission from a MZ20. JZZ30 can fit also if you re-use your bellhousing and possibly line pressure cable, and do little wiring mods. I possibly might have a Good jzz30 transmission I will be selling soon.
