g'day i have a 1987 toyota soarer with the 2L twin turbo i love the motor but it died on me lost compression in all cylinders thats my first problem but not worred bout it the thing i need some info on is i am about to get my p's but with the new laws i cant have a turbo'd car on my p's i wanna keep the soarer coz well there the best what i wanna know is there a NA motor i cant put in without to much hassle i no the gearbox is good so will somthing bolt on to the standerd 4 speed auto any info will be great $$$Benny-B$$$

Now back onto the original topic....
Ben - there is also a clause in the new laws that forbids engine modifications (for P platers). I would expect that if the police were to find you driving with a different engine than prescribed, they would tick the "driving outside licence conditions" box.
