Ohm Meter is a basic Multi-meter you can get from Dick Smith for anywhere from $15 and upwards.

By grounding in this article, it means running a lead or probe (can get a 'test light probe from Supercheap or similar) from the S1, S2, etc pins to a grounding point int he engine bay.

Grounding point: Any bare metal area or the negative terminal of the battery.

so would this mean that this would help my idle to lower! Mine is at 800rpm at the moment on idle. And would like to lower it considerably as I drive around in city a lot.

Cheers!! :-)

800 is pretty normal for the V8 as I recall.

If my TT does want to stall at idle (less than 400 rpm on cold) it means that this ISC valve is busted?
I've change a few setting on a screw on acceleration cable and now is ok - moved it further to 800RPM.

It will be a problem in the future? Should I change this valve or it is ok as it is?

Kind regards.

i would change it my tt idles at900>1000 rpm when cold and 500>600 when warm and when ac starts 900 the ISC valve controls idle for this as well :-)
