Ok, while I wont take credit for this, I did see it on clublexus and figured I'd give it a go. I took my own step by step pics, and figured I'd post it up for everyone else.
Given the ridiculous cost of 'genuine' clear indicators to suit the Z30's, I decided to find what improvisations are out there. I wasnt too keen on cutting up a light cover from a fluro... did that before for my R31 and thought it looked cheap enough on that let alone trying it on a Soarer. Anyways, here's what I did:
Firstly, from ebay secure yourself a set of $20 clear side markers to suit a GS300 (keywords GS300 and CLEAR work for the search)
Now, I sacrificed one of my indicators for the purpose of creating a template... figured the raised area would just be a pain to work around, so I ground it off. I used a bench grinder, a dremel would work as well
Next I created a pair of templates from the indicator (given the indicators are a mirror image of each other, you just use the reverse side of the second template for the opposite side indicator)
Next, attach your template to the clear indicators leaving equal space at each end
Now, using the same bench grinder/dremel, grind the ends down to match the template. Before test fitting into the bumper, you will need to elongate the bolt holes... this is really easy with a drill and correct size bit, the plastic in the bumper provides very little resistance. Front hole gets elongated toward the nose of the vehicle, rear hole gets elongated toward the back of the vehicle. Once thats done, test fit your indicator and keep grinding if necessary until a nice fit is achieved
Remove the indicator and run a bead of clear silicone across the ends of the indicator which have opened up to the the grinding. Leave this for a while until touch dry (refer to the product for time)
Finally, fit the lights to the bar. The plugs that come with the lights will fit the soarer plugs, so no need to try making the old bulb holders fit into the new lights.... just disconnect the old plug, and plug in the new ones

yeah, I have some amber LED's in the mail on the way which will sort this (didnt make it in time). Just decided to do the fitting on the weekend while I had the time to do so

Looks great Tim, definately a good alternative to genuine clear Z30 indicators! yeah the mirror finish globes look heaps better than the orange ones... I changed mine over once i installed my clear sides.
