| Wheels are dirty ol' ROH driftR 19x9" Has tanabe springs too, but otherwise totally stock The ride is still superb, naturally a little firmer than standard, but nothing like what you'd expect from 35 profile tyres. |

| Thads, I've had a HEAP of 2jz engines come through, both of Supra and Aristo origin, what I've stated above is definitely the case (been MUCH discussion regarding this on supraforums.com.au!!) the only area that is a little grey is that steelwheeled turbos were ever fitted to oem to JDM cars. I know the USDM JZA80 got steel wheeled turbos (as well as better cams) Nice Aristo, my first one's not far away now and like you, it HAD to have a 2JZ Cheers Aaron |

| I picked mine up for a very good price, which I'll keep under my hat I've got pics on my pc at the factory so I'll put some up on Monday. It's a very very stock, silver 92 model with 80k on the clock. Whether that's genuine remains to be seen, but the interior looks in great order in the pics. Just velour, but I picked up a leather interior of Yahoo auctions a few weeks ago |

| Aaron - Thanks for that clarification - its pretty much what my understanding of the turbo situ was, and good to have it confirmed by someone with actual first hand experience! Having seen some of the debate on forums around the place had cast doubt on it for me, and I was even told a week ago by a (normally) very reputable source that Aristo turbos are actually slightly smaller to "get them off the line"! - Of course with ceramic wheels, whos to say whats original and what been repaired in the past? Im sure that its engines with 'close enough' turbo swaps at somestage in their life which have caused the confusion! Chances are that I'd go straight for aftermarket cams and a custom turbo setup anyway! And yeah, Im sure the V8s are great, and do sound nice, but I couldn't do without the 2j thruuuust! |

| Which kinda begs the question of how much effort would be involved in fitting the 2J into a 4WD Aristo chassis?

| Hmmm, yeah. I guess it depends on wheher the front diff is seperate (like a land cruiser), or cast into he sump (like a GTR). I guess it would be a case of: ease of 2j conversion vs ease of powering up the 1uz. Neil? |

| Here's some pics Thads, of the V8 set up, which involves the sump, so it might be a biggy!

| Definantly looks like a major! The 4wd version is probably best left as an 8 then... Theres already another thread about this ("GAME ON!") but I have been party to a 1uz with a single turbo and it was staggeringly fast, so no doubt you could make one of these into a real wolf in sheeps clothing.... and NO sheep jokes! |

| Apparently the Aristos are prone to steering rack problems. From what I have heard, can anyone confirm this? |

| Yeah, mine has had a new rack in it. Not sure what that cost, but glad it happened to the previous owner! |

| Alternatively, you could rub wool over the affected area in an anti-clockwise motion. Isn't that right, Don?
