Hi Guys,
We finally sold the 1995 Soarer somewhat over 2 weeks ago. Fortunate timing as we had an emergency trip off the island for medical reasons a couple of days later. We only got back on Friday.

We sold it to the guy who had originally wanted to buy it (with the sale apparently proceeding at the time, we ordered the 1997 model). It only took another 18 months for the sale to actually go through! He still has the 1985 Soarer, now the price has dropped from ~$7000 to ~$4000. I dropped the price on ours nearly $4000 in an effort to make a sale- it's expensive hanging onto 3 cars! Despite having 8 wheels to choose from after putting Lexus wheels on the '97, the '95 still needed 4 new tyres. We at least have two full-size and two new space-savers for the '97 Soarer. The roads here are hard on tyres.

As a matter of interest we hired a Camry for our stay in Sydney and got a brand new Sportivo. The economy was not so good due I guess due to engine tightness. More power than the old one although the only change was to add VVTi. Nice trim if you like dark grey. Fiddley controls. A nicer car to drive than the old model (one of which we had in September), although I still prefer rear wheel drive.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone on ALSC:-)

Thanks, Don. It was about time!

There was a procession of pearl white Soarers back to the new owner's place- The 1985 followed by me in the 1995 with Imah following me in the 1997 model to pick me up and head off to bank the cash...

I thought all new Toyota engines were run-in from factory?

Ah, must have clicked on the wrong quote box again... Seems to be a bug in the system, if you select text and click on the quote box from someone elses message it uses that persons name. Sorry Don, I'll go and fix the post now...
