Engine back to stock, Body back to stock, Suspension back to stock, Brakes back to stock, Exhaust back to stock to comply with emissions test. Then an engineers certificate to say that it was welded back together properly.

Naaa Boss. Callum pays Piers's Air Fare over, Piers brings it as a * Personal Import *. Callum Just gets an Engineers Report over here in NSW and it gets a * Yellow Plate *, then he drives it to WA and then swaps the rego.. Easy Peasy.. You know the Canadians can Import this Convertable as well ( Under there 15yr rule ) It's a 91 Model all you Mounties

Piers can only bring it in if he's moving here or for extended work. Otherwise has to sign a caveat that he won't sell it here. Puts down a deposit equal to the value of the car. Even if car is in an accident, he will have to export the wreck to get the cash back. Only real way is for some Aussie to purchase it in UK that is living there, keep it and use it for 12 months, maintaining proof of use, then when they return to Aussie they can bring it home. They then must keep it for a further 12 months, then they can sell it to one of us.

Haha Neil, called my bluff! =P That would be a very nice car to grab though; however for the amount of hassle you would have to go through trying to comply it i would do what was suggested somewhere along the lines.. grab another uzz31 and chop the top off, then exchange the parts over. PS. I wish i could buy that car. ;)

Last time I checked Scott, Piers wanted around $40k(CND) for it..........That should help with the resistance!

I agree with Aaron - McFark!! That is one sweet car! What would be involved, compliance wise, in chopping the roof off one here? I'd always wondered what a Soarer would look like as a convertible.

Look guys PLEASE don't keep talking of convertable Soarers. I've only just got out of therapy after the last stint of convertable photos were plastered enticingly on this site even though the persons involved KNEW I couldn't resist. I would sell my own mother several times over just to sit in one of these beauties.(However, as my mum's 83 years old I'm beginning to think that nobody is going to take up my offer. Back to drooling (sigh)
