Tim Congratulations! Before anyone rushes into their dealer parts department, be careful. Some Toyota keys from other vehicles from the same production years operate on different frequencies to the Soarer so even with a matching ROM chip they are incompatible.
For example the Australian delivered 1991-92 LS400 uses different frequencies to a Soarer although the keys and ROM appear identical other than the logo. It appears attractive because you can get 2 matching Lexus keys whereas only one is available per ROM for a Soarer. I have never had a chance to test a US SC400 key but if they do work that would be very useful information.
Tim, that looks like a US SC300/400 key blank for a 92 model. Can you tell us what part number it was with the ROM?
