| Well I was bored and suddenly thought wow, what would a celsior and a soarer look like in ute form after seeing the New VE commodore Ute has been brought out. Heres the pictures.

Amazingly the soarer looks brilliant, much like the Last and new model Commodore Ute. Id have one!!! But the celsior looks like a toaster with a wedge out the back or something... Quite interesting never the less - What you guys think? |

| Urgh, I hate utes, especially "performance" utes - I mean a Toyota Hilux and the like is one thing, as it has a good sized deck, is rugged and is actually useful as a ute, but those Falcodore utes are just stupid - they perform poorly as a ute, and poorly as a car, so you get the worst of both worlds, and to me they look terrible. |

| HAHAHA, those look halerious. The soarer looks ok....but thats because its a soarer. It can look good no matter what you do to it ('Bracing for the rush of disagreements and pictures of f#ck ugly soarers') lol |

| Hmmm fair call Matt - They are just a show off type of car really. Heres another of the soarer. Looks superb. Soo pointless but It would be loads of fun once the bills for strengthening the chassis etc and getting a cert are payed for. Hahaha

| Just move it forwards, most falcon utes have it somewhere around there, usally sunk down under the tub a bit |

Lol yeah probably make a smaller one in the back of the tray. Who knows... I wonder if this has ever been done to a soarer? Personally I think it would be quite unique to do. But only on a soarer thats in poor condition (working) worth 1-2.5k. I wouldnt want to cut up a perfectly good tidy one ever!! |

| I agree with Mat on this. I've always hated utes and could never understand why people would do them up! Especially the stupid looking spoilers I keep seeing on commodore utes. |

| Anyone wanna try it on a Soarer? I don't really use my back seat.. only use the car for towing. A tray would make it even handier! |

| Sure thing Miles. I'll have a go on your soarer. I have an Oxy, I just need some gas and we'll grab some box steel too. That should do it! I disagree on the ute argument, the Fords do a great job. Not many people can afford or dont want 2 cars. Not many people with utes really need to carry 1000Kgs, so a turbo ford makes a lot of sence. Able to carry the motorbike/smaller things without the need for a trailer, but still able to take it to a track and have a fun day. Sure its not a full blown race car, but they do have double wishbone suspension front, and now they are moving away from leaf sprung rear ends (which had dropped load capacity) which helps handling. If you dont need to carry 4 people, and are still a hoon who wants to take the bike/fishing rods/help your poor old grand ma move. Then it will do all of these things. There is a car around called 'uteopia'. Its a 70 series supra, with a ute rear end. It has the long 2 door style doors and after that is the hilux ute tub. Runs a 1JZ. Its in my number 80 Zoom. |
