| Looking around my new car I discovered a random lead under the passenger seat with two wires leading to a 'Toyota' labeled rocker switch with off on one side and blank on the other... Any one also have this and know what it does?

| Looks like the switch for when your lady doesn't 'offer up' if you know what I mean..... Get's her 'off' the seat. B. |

| "Off" turns it off. The other setting is probably on, but I can not guarantee that. If you connect it to something, then something might happen; or it might not. Life is full of little surprises.

| It is the auto cut-off button if you don't want your passenger seat to automatically go forward when you recline the seat (passenger)forward to have better access for the rear seater to get by. If you turn it on, pull the recline bar to let the seat go forward, it will move forward magically, then when you push the seat back, it will automatically move backwards to the seats' original position, kinda like a cool auto valet. It always impresses my friends. |

| It does impress, until it starts automatically running over the rear passengers foot. |

| That's true, but if you have your seat pre-set you wont have the problem, it only goes back as far as you had it. |

| Unless it is hopelessly erratic and goes back some random amount, sometimes the whole way but often from a few centimetres to not at all. |

| Only thing is Mike has a Pov Pac JZZ31 so probably doesn't have electric seats. I'll take a look under mine Mike, but I don't think I've ever noticed anything like that. |

| Yeah I thought it wouldnt effect the seats since they are mechanical ones. Tried it before and no change. Just thought for a moment there may have been a device to stop the slide back or what not controlled by this switch. I wonder what what else this switch could do... Doesnt make sense for it to be there for the electric seats when I havent got them.. |

| i reckon it's the seat belt warning light sensor thingo. From what i remember a bunch of soarer importers had gone and disconnected the sensor as the seat belts installed on compliance wouldn't work with the sensor and the light kept coming on whether the seatbelt was in or out. Maybe instead of just ripping out the wires (like they did in mine) they were polite and put a switch in on yours. It took me a while to figure out what the frayed wires under my seat were my 2 cents |

| My car has only the two wires for the seatbelt under the passenger seat Mike. No switch to be found. Dimitri, NZ Soarers don't get butchred for compliancing when they get here like they do in Australia. Possibly it was a switch added to turn it off though. |

Ill check that Don. Id probably say it will just come up with Toyota Switch blah blah and not really much about what its for.... Still could be worth a try. Ill post it up later on tonight |
