Rashmin, if you have straight 6 N/A, its 95-96 according to Soarer engine config. Its written in the engine manuel which is a copy of original.
After using 95 & 98, i decided to go with 95. It didnt make any difference in extra km's or performance. so...in my verdict 95 is the one. I would not use 91. It will kill the components at engine chamber slowly but surely. check out the like...might help.

I agree with Khan, 98 made no difference with my 3 litre, so I decided it wasn't worth the extra money. If I had a TT or still had my V8 I'd probably go 98.

I've been trialling United's 95RON PULP with 10% ethanol. Performance is similar to using 91RON, but mileage is better. For the price, it's worth forking out for a $10 bottle of octane booster since you're still going to save money anyway.
With the Ethanol blend 95RON, I get about 600km to a full tank with a mix of 30% highway and 70% town driving. I'm trying that stuff because fuel is ridiculously priced here in Bendigo - hit $1.50 for standard unleaded the other day. The 95RON is usually around the $1.30 mark.

Thanks a lot for the comments and the links guys, after reading through what you said, and what a majority of people said in the other links as well, I'm probably going to go for the 95.
I've tried 95RON... never doing that again, probably got about 300~350kms from a tank of granny driving (since the car drove like crap). 98RON, A/C on, giving it the boot whenever need be I get around the 490~500km mark with about 16L in the tank left.

The V8's are meant to run on 101 RON, thats the Jap specs. Here in WA the best you can get is 98 RON, whether it be BP Ultimate, Caltex Vortex or Shell V-Power.
Now I personally would not think about putting anything else in my baby other than 98 RON. For me, it's definately increased the performance & fuel efficiency, and is much better for the engine as a whole.
And in terms of the pricing? Well with BP Ultimate, which is what I use, its always 10c more than normal unleaded. So with a 75L tank, filling up once every 2 weeks, that's an extra $195 a year I'm paying.
