After taking in a show on the new super engineered R35 GT-R, I was wondering what the Soarer chassis is actually like? Is a soft cushy one or is it fairly hard and rigid, allowing big power levels as well as a workout on a race track?
I would think the latter as its the same chassis to the Supra, which as we have seen have been made to extreme 1000BHP+ levels with torque to match. In saying that there are Soarers out there making similar power that have been made into track/drift/drag cars...
But can the chassis physically handle it? Or is it in the long run, not such good thing?
I don't really know much about this, but always been interested to know more, hence why I'm asking, so if there are any experts on this subject please contribute!

Soarer chassis is gold!
As proved by time on the hoist. Jack the car up on a 2 poster and you can still open and close everything as per normal. We have had a R32 and R33 up on the same hoist. Once up in the air, the doors are hard to open, and impossible to close! So not cool.

Wow thats quite interesting to know!
I would have thought the R32/33 would have been quite good being related to the GTR's, unless they have a lot more going on underneath than the lesser models?

Soarer seems pretty rigid compared to a few of the imports I've been in. I've been in a few S13's, and I dread to think how flexible their chassis are.

chassis, subframes, transmissions and suspensions are all good, but being a car aimed at more luxury/touring than track warrior means the bushes used throughout the car are the weak point, also the dampers whether on springs or airbags contribute to a sloppy ride as on a 15yo car they are well overdue for replacement
