After blowing up a built 2jz (gt4245, pistons, rods, etc, etc), and dropping a couple of valves, this guy decided to go with something different and drop a 1UZFE, into his JZA80 instead. I guess he thought a set of twin 2835's would be fun too.
Apparently its been a relatively quick build, considering he did *all* the work himself, the car having never been in a shop. It took 6 weeks from 2jz to TT 1UZ. The guys dad did most of the fabrication, all the manifold, intercooler piping, exhaust, engine mounts...etc.

Hmmm. They're hoping to improve on the 481rwkw the previous 2JZ made. Apparently traction issues at that power level with slicks haha. So this engine was focussed at response and midrange. Evidently lots of money spent, not dynoed yet. Next weekend its going for a tune. Idling with the standard 2jz ecu apparently..
