go to a wrecker... just make sure its got some good bushes before you pay for it. I got mine for $70 with a good set of bushes (very cheap i thought). Just tell them you were quoted 100 from another joint and see what they say lol

The difference between the TT/uzz30 and The 31's is where the adjustable suspension rod bolts on the TT and uzz30 do not have the tag on the lower control arm to bolt it too.

The Supra LCA's are a direct bolt in replacement for the Soarer LCA's, BUT they're very slightly shorter???, which means you get a slightly firmer ride than standard, but still VERY acceptable.
They will NOT fit a UZZ31, as there is no cast lug for attaching the height control rods to. Nor does it fit a 32, as they don't have the extra mounting lug required. They DO fit ALL 30 series Soarers with coil suspension.
The Supra bushes are also a firmer design, giving you a more "Locked down" feel to the suspension.
The Supra LCA's are heaps cheaper to buy from Toyota.
Part numbers for the JZ80are as follows:
48068-14080 (RH.Lower control arm 5/93 - 5/96) 48069-14080 (LH.Lower control arm 5/93 - 5/96)
48068-14090 (RH.Lower control arm 5/96 - ) 48069-14090 (LH.Lower control arm 5/96 - )
Note: The later ones are purported to be cast alluminum, and are a LOT dearer than the early cast iron ones, however, they are also a direct fit.

pedders are totally full of crap .. i would take it to someone else for another opinion.
i had lew change all the bushes in the front of my car... and then i took it to pedders the next week.. and they said that my front lower and sway bar bushes were screwed.... when in fact they were 1 week old....
im not saying they are unhonest at every store.. but they are in it to make money.. so they would tell u anything..
the test pedders does is insane anyway... where on earth would u experience anything similar to the test they do.. if anything it would screw your suspension up further...

well they do tend to charge excessively, but i spose most big suspension places do.
I just had some coil-overs installed and pedders quoted me $470 (i called two different stores), Fulcrum quoted $420 so I got them installed by Jack Beedhams (redcliffe) for $220, including raising the spring/ride height and full suspension check over.
Its amazing how much companies will charge if they dont know anything about imports.
I had another shop tell me "we dont do soarers" i said why, and he said, "because its an import". lol...
anyway, I agree with Peter, but generally, big name places will charge you more just because their considered to be better than small workshops and they can put their name behind their work.

Don, can you expand on this at all please? Will it have an effect on the overall geometry? Do both the front LCA and rear LCA from the Supra fit on the JZZ30?
Any ideas on a cost-effective replacement for the UCAs?
