Well, Im almost at my wits end. The retards up in here in Darwin have all sorts of Dramas trying to dyno the car with the IFT....
Anyone got a map to suit a TT with roughly 230rwkw ?
The last tuner has completely f*cked the last tune, it pings, and goes mega rich under accel. Very frustrating. How can I learn to tune this myself? Or what info can I give to the 'tuner' that might help? Most of them complained that they couldnt make changes to the map without 'being at that particular point to make the change' i.e. they cant make changes at idle, then test the changes as the values reach point x on the dyno. Maybe I should swap to an S-AFC? Right now, Im not up for spending 2k + for microtech and installation. I really dont think its neccessary, a piggy back should be fine for this low power rating.
Im actually considering heading to Adelide for a while to get it tuned and then hoon back.

Your probably going to do some damage with it that way. If no one can tune it there your better off going with a SAFC. They are simple to tune with a Wide band O2. Plus theres plenty of info on the old forum about the setup. Manny's safe base settings are there somewhere. They worked for me on similar car to yours.Plus theres an online manual for them.

Oh crikey, its possibly great news!!
Went to the new Dyno shop yesterday, JSM on the Stuart Highway, Pinelands. Basically last night, the operator (Jason) was having trouble with the IFT comms, the usual story, late model laptop meets dinosaur 9 pin connectors. Sorted out the parity and comms side of things for him and he was underway. He was very sceptical at first, saying he wasnt sure about the tnuability of the software, thats its quite antiquated etc...however he was quite surprised at the results .
I spoke to him this morning, and basically, at some points on the map, he taken 34% fuel OUT!! thats how rich it was running after the last operator frigged with it. Anyways, he said hes bascially transformed the car, on 10p.s.i. it made 180rwkw last nite, this morning it sailed past 210rwkw on 13.6 p.s.i and he will crank it to 14.5, possibly more depending on wether or not he thinks the turbos can handle it. But get this:
The high setting on the dual stage boost controller was screwed up at 22p.s.i. Lucky I had been driving off boost because of the condition of the timing, but I certainly remember switching accross to the high boost a coupl of times. No wonder they've j u s t started to whine a very little bit when cold. Poor things. Poor me! Rob will tear me a new one when he finds out what I did to his 19k old turbos! They now sound like 80thou kilomtere turbos, nothing to worry about. There was no definitive way to tell without removing them. Anyways, he's 80% finished, poor bugger got up at 4.00am to get the dyno on while the air was still cool. tyres gettin too sticky so hes backed it off for 1/2 hour to cool it down then finish!!! Ill post up a dyno at lunch time!!
We got onto the subject of IFT being made in South Afica (basically just bagging the springboks, when he mentioned that powerglide pills are from South Africa. I asked him about em, and he said he gave them a run and made an extra 34HP on his wifes VZ SS. No, he doesnt retail the pills !! Food for thought.....back soon!

PowerMOD is diff to IFT, much different. PowerMOD is designed and made in OZ also. There are dealers in melbourne (Nizpro is one dealer I know of). Problem areas are perth and NT, no tuners there.

just as we were getting to finishing, the pump started screaming enough. Good news, I have a 255 Walbro sitting here, brand new. Bad news, theres no dyno time till the 11th......around we go again!
