I dyno'd my JZZ30 this last weekend, the power delivery was very weird. The car started to pull very good but fell on its face at 5krpm.. any idea? The car has basic mods (exhaust, intake).

A VaMP tune tends to bring it on too fast. You need to find someone who knows how to hold it longer. |

That's a weired dyno graph, the torque and power lines don't make sense?
If its going funny at 4500-5000rpm its most likely detonation. But if its untuned, there shouldn't be an issue unless you're using low octane fuel.
Could also be a fuel pump pickup blockage, that causes some weired issues indeed. |

Why do I get the feeling Richard is having a VERY subtle dig at the use of dyno graphs and power readouts as a sort of compensation or measure of manliness??

I didn't think I had any dynos looking like that before.
Richard being from the US should be the opposite though as the Americans seem to THRIVE on dyno figures :P |

It would appear that after power climax, there is a dribble on over-run. WIPE clean all engine maps, re-tune and call her in the morning. |
