Well, at the dyno shop, I ran out of 98. And being in Darwin, theres not a lot of 98 around. So the tuner gave me a pack of Uniglide pills.
I used one pill and regular prem (96) till i got to a proper shop. Filled up, and thought, bugger ill chuck another one in.
This was a week ago. I drove harder this week than normal (extra kw's will do that!) and for the first time I got over 500km on the tank. Havent done that before. Normally get about 430km. And yeah, I drive like a prick.
"Nah, its the dyno tune that saved the fuel" I hear you scream. Well, I filled up without the pills, and sure enough, no where near teh same kms, 460 actually.. And I filled up the same amount each time, and from the same servo. (Ludmilla BP, one of three 98 outlets inthe Darwin area)
So I guess im amazed myself at how it works. I popped one in the BA and the Litres per/KM has gone down to 11.7 on the trip computer, compared to the 13.7 average it had before. And I dont drive it, my missus does and she drives like well....miss daisy.
12bucks for four pills. Not bad. Im a tightarse, so take it from me that its good stuff.

I think Steve would probably have been more of a Prious man, if looking for a city car. Environmentally friendly and all that. Of course I can't really imagine him driving anything that didn't resemble a Hilux or a Surf.

Luke,
They've started selling them here in SA. I first thought they were for the ashtray to make your car smell purdee but after a few days of having them in there it still stank. I don't dare throw them in the tank though.
