I bring a bucket and sponge to those car wash places anyway. There is never staff there so nobody says anything. Fill up the bucket for a few bucks and give the car a spray, then move it for proper treatment from the bucket, sponge, and chamois.

Mike, I know you're still agonizing which way to go and this won't help since you're steering towards the soarer. Ahhh celsior is such a nice cruiser though ;-)
Savo. you and your angle grinder would be wasting time looking for the springs here. Air bags..... and I can dump it lower but since rims are 19" the ride would suffer just too much
19-Inch Wheels, 8.5 Inch Wide Front, 9.5 Inch Wide Back 235 x 40 Front, 265 x 35 Rear Price just over $3K

Apparently those car wash places use recycled water. This would allow minute particles to go through the system and damage your paint? I don't know, I was told this by a respected spray painter. Can anyone actually prove this? I'd only trust myself when washing the car though. If I damage the paint in any way, at least I can only blame myself for doing so and not anyone else.
Greg: What tyres did you get with the rims? 3K+ is a tad expensive for those rims in 19's unless you got some good tyres with them.

Hehehehe. Greg, do the rims at the back have more dish than the front? That may explain the price a lot. Apparently those rims came with optional wider rims at the back which would cost about an additional $600.

they are Hankook K107
Those Hankook k107s will set you back about $340-$360 per tyre. The only reason i know this is because the previous owner had just put them on my car and about a month or so after buying the car i got an unrepairable puncture to a brand new tyre. Ouch!
