It's good to know you can still trust some people. I recently allowed a member to take some items which he agreed to pay off weekly. He has done this without fail. Helps to restore my faith in humanity. [Edit - Pen]

well I CERTAINLY dont trust the prick who sold me my current car ! Let me tell you guys what needed to be done to the car when i picked it up. • New Air Conditioner Condenser (existing one damaged) • New Air Con gas • New front tyres (bald) • Wheel Alignment • New LCA bushes (existing very worn) • New Steering wheel + Control module (evidence of deployed) • New Headlights (drill holes in existing) • Re adhere body kit (existing falling off) • Reconnect window wiper jets (disconnected) • New Airbag Suspension (existing struts blown) • New cup holder (existing broken) • New dash shroud above steering wheel (existing broken) • New centre air vents (existing broken) • New cluster protective panel (existing badly scratched) • Re-align FR fender (rubbing against drivers door when open) • Tighten drivers seat (loose) • Disable JDM cruise control limiters • New door trims (existing badly damaged) • New carpet (existing has new carpet glued over original) • New headlight globes (existing illegal blue colour) • New badges • New Air con filters (existing full of hardened dirt) • WA registration Thats all i have found so far and i bet theres more to come ! Not to mention these preference items already carried out: • New custom dual exhaust with x-pipe resonator • Chrome A pillar garnishes • 6000k HID kit The previous owner only mentioned the door was out by a few mm and that it wasnt a problem. I have let the guy know how much he has costed me and how much i have to fix because of his lies. The car is currently squatted on it bump stops collecting dust in my garage going no where with a flat battery.

Did someone hold a gun top your head and say Buy this car it needs lots of work??? When you buy a 2nd hand car Adam, these are the things that can happen.. If you didnt check it out sufficiently before the purchase, then you have no one to blame except yourself. Bit hard blaming the seller, even if he knew the issues, its up to the buyer to try and sort them out.

Sam Briggs is not a person you can trust! Be careful dealing with him.. he sold me a welded open wheel diff as a 2-way and promised to refund the money after it blew 3 weeks later... he is no where to be found.. apparently left his job, and his family say they do not know where he is...something I find very hard to believe! I've left messages, and emails, and he wont answer my calls...

I live in Perth and the car was for sale in Sydney. I couldnt get anyone in Sydney to inspect it for me and i needed a car asap. I bought this one cheap and it proves you get what you pay for. Im not blaming anyone but myself for accepting the car would be ok.

Adam, sounds like a pretty normal condition Soarer from today's markets =P Most of the issues sound like they didnt NEED fixing if you are leaving again next year... ;)

Would have to agree Daniel. If they are some that we can trust, and they have made a mistake, I am sure that most people here would be willing to let them fix it.

id agree callum, its fairly routine stuff alright, four blown struts is a bit much tho. For some reason when a lot of people sell a car they turn from 'regular person' into - 'mega liar salesman shonky bastard'. Buyers turn from 'regular guy' to 'im so hard up for cash, whats the lowest you will go, there are lot of these out there guy'. Never sell or buy anything I reckon.

good luck getting 15k for it... no matter how perfect it is. i'd almost sell my car for that much and it has about 15k just in engine mods.. Not including full leather interior re-trim, 20 inch wheels, bodykit suspension etc.

When you say sell for under $15k you would generally mean something close. 14, 13... Clean it up nice, take it to Mel Clark and give it a real nice paint job, could do alright. The Soarer prices in WA are better than the east coast fo sho. |

Cos Callum, there aint enough female members to have a 60's style love in..thats why. In retrospect i would pay 15k for a soarer that is well sorted (having spent more than 10k on fixing up an average condition soarer)
