After all the woes of late in regards to my head gasket, turbos, bearings, etc... Some things have started to look up
Recently got the 1J head back from the machinists and that now sits atop the 2J bottom end. The ebay manifold, which surprisingly enough has top notch welding job (a mate is a welder, he gave it a clean bill of health) and a machined face, fitted with only having to shorten 3 studs a few mm.
As it turns out, Autobarn are good for the odd thing or two, ie their 20% off performance parts sale. Went in this arvo and talked turkey with their performance guy (who surprisingly enough actually knew what he was on about), ended up walking out with a KKR480 turbo, 38mm external gate, a nice stash of silicone bends, Blitz EBC and a couple of ADR approved carbon fibre bucket seats for a tad under $2300
They should all be in by next friday, so after a couple of weekends with the car on the hoist (yes I get to use a hoist, sucks to be me hey?) it should be time for some serious
This also means that my ivory leather electric seats will be up for grabs soon, pm me any eoi's.
