Hi everyone, in mid-life crisis husband bought Soarer - left it for me to drive!! Love it! Except - in the last few days I hear a sound like something is dragging on the ground or like someone left something in it that rattles - it is a metal type rattle. I have actually looked underneath the car to see if anything is hanging down - nothing. Then last night when picking up my daughter I pushed the unlock button for her door and it didn't work. I had to open by hand from the inside. I tried to open the passenger door this morning with the key and it was a no go!! Live in a small city with no mechanics that I have found that have ever even seen this car never mind letting them tinker with it. I need some help!! Please - any ideas??
Thanks
Christine

Christine,
You have broken the * Door Snap * by the sounds of it.
A small plastic clip that attaches the inner lock to the outer handle.
Anyone in BC that has touched a Lexus SC300-400 can do the job.
It rally is a no brainer, so most Mech shops over there "should" be able to attend to this matter.

Christine, not enough info for the rattle.

If you can, try to localise it a bit, eg front, rear, left, or right - things like that.

Is it only when the car moves, does the noise change when the car changes gear etc?
