I thought I'd start a thread I could add to rather than starting a new thread every time I take the car out and video it, also for updates. Put it in here cause it doesn't really fit in v8 supercharged. Anyway here's the latest effort from WSID
So from the other night, Hi to Rob and Emmanuel it was great to meet you guys (i'll get your cars on tape next time too). I think Rob should be pretty happy - he ran a 12.8 on full street tyres!
I ran a 12.4 and a 12.1. I only got two passes cause it was so busy and there were a couple of oil-downs. I ran my MT streets on weld wheels too. I wish I had gotten a few more passes and gotten the times down! Anyway - next week. I'm also down on power and MPH, from what I suspect was a boost leak. Down .2 bar. Oh yeah, no tacho or shift light. I'm on a mission to get my times down now!

Went to WSID again, ran a new PB of 11.7 @126.9 MPH. Unfortunately I had boost problems (too much) and have done something to the motor. Yet to work it out. Boost was fine on the street all week (1.2 bar) and on this pass had a spike of 1.65.
Happy with the time, but sick of towing it home!

Adam, always run a map sensor with a bigger boost threshhold than you plan on running. That way you can max out the fuel system + retard timing above load cells you don't plan on using. With that done the worst that could happen is a melted cat and or exhaust manifold and the motor itself will come out unscathed 99% of the time.
It's easy to screw months of work right up in 5-10seconds when small precautions like this aren't taken. A rubber hose, or, in the worst of cases - the lack of a 5 cent zip ties can cost you thousands of dollars.

Big improvement over the previous week! low 11's next week?? I will hopefully be going back to WSID in around 3 weeks with a few more tweaks by then should hope for low 12's maybe a little wishful with open diff but its worth a go.

Just for some of you out there 24psi on a around 10.7:1 comp motor on pump gas doesn't go down to well. The motor is coming out and the new 1000hp motor will start to take place. 9's and over 140mph!
