i woke up already in a bad mood this morning to walk outside and find my car was egg'd, not 1 or two, but the whole Fing car was covered it looked like 1 big egg itself!, i went walking up and down the street, but nobody else had been eggd or any signs off it, so im wondering if this was a targeted attack! how annoying! its stuck like crazy i dont know how to get it off!

Ty whatever you do dont go through a car wash with it. Its gonna be a pain to get off but use some good car shampoo and water that is about 40-50c. The biggest pain is when you get it all off to reveal how much damage the egg sheel has done to the paint. Goodluck mate and sorry to hear.

Such a dog act I swear. Similar thing happened to me a while ago. My car was JUST resprayed, and I mean just. For the very first outing, I went to the local RSL with my mates. Came back at the end of the night to find out that some gutless pricks had egged my car. THANK GOD they hit the rear window and not the paint.

Do you have insurance? Reason i ask this is egg is not so good and if there is egg shells you can kiss your paint work good bye... Sucks really and is hard to get off once it has been on there for awhile...

make sure you keep it out of the sun until you have removed all of the egg....which of course should be done as soon as possible. The sun will set it into the paintwork & will show forever. Warm water in the wash & a good quality liquid like "Meguiars Gold Class" should see it come off. Do it twice...1st time to soften the dried egg, second time to remove the rest. The warm water temp on the paint will help. Just warm, ok. Spend the time now to save it. Very soft on the rubbing 1st time when removing. A good polish after. Definitely NO auto car wash. Bast#rds....that's such a low act. Good luck with it

Well if it makes you feel any better, my mate had his new Chrysler 300C reversed into at a supermarket resulting in a fair bit of panel damage to the left rear 1/4 panel. The pricks did a runner.

Egg shells do SO Much damage to paint t aint funny ... TY thats not good to hear champ When the egg shell breaks it twists and actually twists the paint, even if it doesnt leave a visual dent in the panel . So while there may NOT be any signs of dents , unfortunately there is probably substantial damage to the actual paint itself . Be very careful when cleaning, Try not to rub the shells all over the paint as they can scratch . Like Mark T mentioned, some good quality car wash liek Meguiars will foam up nicely and use warm water as well . Rather than use force to wash it off, just wash it multiple times to remove the egg itself . And try washing out the Sponge or Microfibre Mit frequently to avoid any leftover or hiding egg shells from scratching the paint any worse than needed . I would guess you got targetted if no other cars were hit ... Street full of cars randomly egged = young kids being idiots . 1 Car in street targetted and egged majorly = someone got beef with ya .

I had this done to my previous car - and I knew who it was! Went to his house, holding a tyre iron, told him if he ever does anything like that again, his car would be in much worse shape. He was scared, and just glanced down at my hand as I started walking away. Never had a problem again. Oh .... umm ... yeah .... please don't take my advice. Please ..... I didn't really feel good about it after doing it, but I was in such a fit of rage it just sort of happened. Haha .... I promise I'm not a scary person. Just DON'T EGG MY CAR! Hope it all cleans up Ty, sorry to hear.

yeah i have that prob too some one keeps egging cars and icecream from maccas... daily gets hit bout once every week as well as mates cars when they are here.. havent found them and sometimes i see it on other cars driving to work so im not sure if its targeted but if if i ever find out who they are the police said they wont do anything so may have to do some vigilante justice.. best served cold... found get it off asap and use warm soapy water or with car wash and also a bug wash mit if you have one helps get it off if it has dried a bit.. worst thing is the egg shell marks will have chipped paint off.. not much you can do with that other than respray affected areas... i hate scum who do like that..

Man I'm happy my Soarer now gets to live in a cozy garage with an alarm watching over it. Lots of good quality meguires or mothers car wash with hot water and really let it soak in for a while - thats my advise, then a light machine polish and a good coating of wax... but I've never had to de-egg a car, so its probably not worth much.

We could make it work. We could have an open relationship where Soarers are welcome.

Hi all. I've been following this thread as a similar thing happened to my mothers car (Honda Civic). Today my father-in-law and I were cleaning his car and my mothers car, as I'm currently borrowing it while my Soarer is having a new starter motor fitted. I was cleaning off the egg with warm water and a chamois which was doing a reasonable job but then my father-in-law suggested I use Repo, which is a polish. It was brilliant at removing the egg, which had been on for a week or so, therefore dried pretty hard. I'd already managed to remove a fair amount, including all the shell, but there were bits that just wouldn't move, but the Repo got it off easy as pie. Just a tip for anyone else that gets egged.
