black = Tough
gold = Race look

I loved the gold mate, though having said that, black rims on a soarer have a certain WAM about them :-)

I like the black on black (or in your case, dark green on charcoal) very stealth.

Hum,, not my cup of tea but we all have different tastes ;D

The wheels look too "cheap" in the black imo, i think a matt silver would have done the job nicer.

But all that matters is you are happy with it ;D dont try to impress me =P

Its cool Callum thats is why i posted to share what i have done i do it for my own pleasure.in saying that my heart was set on a very dark shade of grey but i allready had this paint of charcoal metallic so thats what it ended up.the pics dont do them justice theye look better in the flesh.
it doenst take long to change the colour on the rims so who knows maybe theye will be a different colour next week..:-)

anyways last pics below ending with the beast going to sleep in the last pic :-)
thx for all the comments.

Muz, or anyone? what paint did you use? I have found the colour i want in Enamel, but i have been told it may not be tough enough for wheels and i should use automotive paint.

Did you cleat coat them?

well to be blunt i used enamel metallic out of a can..now before anyone jumps up and down i used this method purley because its easy to do easy to repair if scratched and if i please i can change the colour every week at minimal cost.

Avin what you see there is strait out of the can enamel paint.the gold colour i had was also out of a can.and theye lasted nearly a year with no problems..

i am thinking of spraying an extra layer of clear if i decide to keep the colour.

after three years of owning this car i just love it adjusted the sway bar to the hardest seting yesterday and the car was perfect
i had so much fun driving it today it rode the bumps very good just gave me more confidence and i thaught to my self how much i enjoyed driving the car..engine felt powerfull and responsive.

hell its even been great on fuel economy so i hardly have any complaint about it..you gotta just love the TT :-)
i would just like it to be stiffer in the back sway bar department even though i have the supra sway bar it needs a touch more stiffness..
end raving on about car ..

They look great now, the dark charcoal suits those wheels i think..it always seems to draw more attention to the wheels, and whats hiding behind them
