to be honest most of my city driving was mega granny style.. hadn't been in the city driving for atleast 12months and in a new unfamiliar car and was only one stint so only have that to go on. but i know i filled it in brisbane and i know what it took in dalby.. and i guess that is a mix of city and what most people would call freeway driving so may not be exactly correct
if its impossible what the hell is wrong with my car??? 98% of my driving out here is 100 to 110kmh long stretches (its 80km to the pub) yes i hit speed cut on a very long strech of open road but that was mixed in with nearly 300km of flat cruising road.
i would never even try going that fast in or around a town or city, out here if you stuff up the only things you'll hurt are yourself maybe a tree or some wildlife.
i'm more worried about whats wrong with my car than saying i get great fuel economy wow look at me.. most of my cars eat fuel if i was after economy i'd drive a prius

I'd suggest you just keep an eye on your fuel figures, William. It's a lot better to have impossibly good economy than impossibly horrible fuel usage! If those sort of figures remain, in the medium term, I'd then suggest you get a tune-up, as if it's running ultra-lean, you could do damage to your engine- valves and head, especially. Possibly even pistons. Have you pulled a spark plug to have a look after a run? They can be an indicator of incorrect mixture, although how it would be rectified, with modern engine management, is way outside my expertise.

So I was searching the forum to see if my car is on the money with fuel economy.
Car: JZZ30 (1991 TT) Fuel: Mobil 98RON Driving: Sydney suburban/city Aircon use: 90% of the time Fuel Economy: 483.4km out of 68.00 litres (Rounded off to 14.01 litres/100km)

Not sure why the 2jz n/a returns such poor fuel economy. My 1jz-gte vvti always gave me 10.5l\100km on 98. (runs e85 now and chews the juice). My Soarer never used more then 11.5l\100km. Loving LPG on my Soarer costs about $30 for 350km or $60 for 700km. Returns about 14l\100km but LPG 58 cents/litre.
So don't know why the 3.0 litre uses more. But seems to be about what they use. Would rather a 2jz-gte if it is going to use that kind of fuel.

In my view any largish, heavy car with a larger petrol motor will get poor economy around town. My JZZ31 gets better economy on the highway than our Renault Koleos which is 2.5l with CVT auto. The Koleos is better around town, however. The Soarer's rather ancient 4-speed auto doesn't help for urban driving.
