Did you like my 20"s Tom? Shame it was raining and I had not cleaned them up. They look a lot better when I dump the car right down over them! The guys that did the dyno said that if I had taken them off and put smaller rims I may have got another 20kw on my results. Not so sure about that but it certainly would have given my V8 a great figure!!! Maybe space savers on the next run!

Only thing is, can you please edit out the number plates, if a "person of the law" happens to see the pics, they might want to do some ringing and defecting :-(

I doubt there would be issues with the police on this site, well compared to others anyway.

When I put the videos up, there is no way that I can edit out plates so you can still do it if you want Tom. I didn't get Ben's car on video anyway.

Ben: have to have your car ready for the next one! I propose that on the next one we do a full day thing. Dyno in the morning and then head to Willowbank in the arvo! Dyno's are great but it is great to watch these cars try and put the power to the ground in a race! :D

that sounds great Chris! Yeah, Stally is getting built as we speak and the auto is going in on the 6th of Feb :-)

Cant wait to pull some serious chirps into 3rd gear :-)

for $190 im getting the torque convertor strengthened, fins aligned, new bearings, new housing and the stally put up to around 3000rpm. Should be very very cool, and hopefully very fast!

When does your car hit boost, start to spool and full boost? I wish I could go with a 3000rpm stally for that price! I am looking at getting a 4000rpm or thereabouts. Have to wait until I get my cams in and see how it responds to them.

4000rpm? Holy crappas, that is huge dude!

Boost starts climbing at around 3000rpm. But i dont have the tacho working, so im going by ear, lol.
I recon i hit low boost (i have the Turbosmart dial turned all the way shut and i still get 11psi lol)at 4000rpm and 16psi at around 4,500...

will you be able to drive around with a 4grand stally?

Aah ok. I have issues hitting boost at a decent rpm in 1st at the moment. Full boost at 5700rpm! 16psi that is.

4000rpm stall is a smaller diameter converter so no lockup which means worse fuel economy on the highway but should be ok to drive on the street still. I am going to go for a drive in a turbo torana running a 5000rpm stall to see how it feels.

Do you have the specs on your turbo? Would be interesting to compare to mine. I am trying to get all the details of HKS as I have some “mystery” turbo. Anyway, will stop spamming. Pm me mate :-)

Re: your wheels not giving you a great figure - Looked awesome mate. Couldnt believe how big they were! Had a really mean sound to the v8 too!
