Hey guys,
I've noticed a few cars getting around without a license plate on the front of their car. Is it legal in Vic (at least) to only have a rear plate showing?
Hopefully my Vertex kit will be on soon, and I think that the front would look much cleaner without a plate being stuck on there.

I don't know the answer myself but I personally, wouldn't give the boys in blue any more reasons to pick on something....Although it does look much better, you're right.
Does Vic have any speed cameras which take photos of the front of the vehicle like NSW? If so, I would safely assume that you'd be required to have one up front as well.

you are required to have one at the front in victoria. however i know someone who has a sticker instead of a plate (made up by a signwriter for $30) he has been pulled over multiple times while its been on and no cop has said anything to this person.

I ran a V12 Etype in Sydney for about 5 years with a homemade Yellow Fablon front "plate". I photocopied the real plate and cut a stencil... looked very like the real thing and was never pinged.

I Have been running stuck on laminated plates for 6 months now, been pulled over without any issues just ensure the letters are the correct height and width, I made red plates with white letters to suit the car and they look great.. Just made them in Coreldraw printed them on a colour laser and laminated themm.. I will post some pics tomorrow.

yes, but at the same time the cops ova here dont know there own laws, ive had a sticker on since i have owned the car and neva had any trouble with it.
