Hi all,

is it at all possible to source bushes without the control arms? I was quoted well over $2000 for nolathane setup inc labour, this was for the full monty but then I have also heard about the ride quality being compromised:-(

Yep, as David says.
I did the front upper and lower control arm bushes and steering rack bushes from VFT.
Very happy with the result.

I'll chip in and recommend VFT as well - I replaced every single one of my bushes with VFT bushes and it is worth every dollar to get the brand new feel again.

I got quoted from Toyota for the front upper control arm - $485 Each!

Unless your ball joints are stuffed, then you have to replaced the control arms.

Otherwise you can just replaced the bushes.

Mark how much did the bushes cost inc p&p to your doorstep? And for that brand new feel, did you replace steering rack and diff mount ones as well?

Im trying to keep things local as everytime I get stuff from o'seas i get stung tax

Shyam, go to SAS (shock absorber services) in manukau. they fit new bushes to your control arm. You will have the bring the arm to them thou.
