I built a system for mine to replace the fuel pump, I used two diodes on the input lines to prevent voltage back flow, a transistor to amplify their signal, and a solid state relay to switch the pump on

He also has some engine ecu"s he thinks but has recently given most of them away to a automotive firm, cant remember which one but if I get back to him next week he will have found out.

Lucas got one of those little fans today, is there room enough at the back to attach two of them to the heat sink of the fuel ecu. What sort of glue did you use to stick yours to the ecu. Do they get that hot you would need a special glue or could you just tape them to the back say with insulation tape.

I used zip ties, and spliced the fan into the pos and neg power in to the fuel pump ecu, I actually moved mine to the boot when I did this, so I can't say for sure, but there seemed to be plenty of room. I keep forgetting to photograph my setup, but I will get around to it before the car gets sold.

Mine are not giving me trouble but then I havent been using it as a daily driver since I have had it so are not many ks on the clock. Since I intend keeping the car they prob will in due course and now using it more frequently

Lucas finally got two of those fans and screwed them onto cooling plate on back. If you use screws just a fraction bigger than the width of one of the cooling spaces screw makes its own thread and holds very firmly, does not go into the unit.
