http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/toyota/soarer/auction-394088500.htm

Just spotted my last UZZ30 I owned from September 2009 to December 2009, so about 19 months ago.

Was a nice example, I returned it back to stock when I sold it, and its still the same now, 15,000kms later...

I left the 4 pot celsior brakes up front too.

Depending on how the last owner has treated it, it should still be a good car at 5k, what I paid for it and what I sold it for.

Even if its been mistreated, not much can go wrong in just 15,000km.

Yeah, the guy that bought it from me was a bit of a dope though so hard to say.

I would imagine it would have additional car park dents and the door trims would probably be cracked again... although I did repair them with fiberglass and epoxy so they are probably still intact.

I wonder what I'd get for mine now... I wouldn't have expected it to be worth more than maybe $3,000... particularly since the mileage is getting quite high now - but it still drives as well as it did when I bought it nearly 7 years ago!

Yeah, Id say about 3k too.

I sold my somewhat rough 3.0GT for $3,500 back a couple of years ago...

It turned quite average as I stole all the good parts off it and put it on the UZZ31 I had.

Oddly enough I saw it driving down K road the other week, looks the same, just even more weathered.

I guess in your case just keep it until it breaks!

Nah, I'm well overdue for a new car, particularly now I'm contracting - doesn't look good to show up in a shabby old thing. Once we've finished the alterations on the house it'll be on the cards. I'm thinking a 2006 or later XR6 Turbo at this point.

Either that or an Aurion, but they are pretty dull to drive in anything other than a straight line.

If you can stretch the budget far enough go for the FG XR6T, the difference is night and day over the BA/BF ones.. the early FG's are getting down in price now too

Agreed about the Aurion. We have one as a rental at work (vvti 3.5L V6) and it hauls serious ass but doesn't do the corner thing that great!!
