Hi all just wanting to know if any body can tell me where i mite be able to get some T-IV trans fluid from aside from toyota....got quoted $115 for 4lts but they do have it in stock

I paid about $60 per 4L drum from Charlestown Toyota (Newcastle, NSW). This was a couple of years back, though.

Supercheap do stock a trans fluid that claims to be a suitable replacement for Toyota T-IV. Can't actually remember the brand, but I purchased a 1L bottle as a top up once.

Yeah, TypeIV is expensive over here in NZ.
Chris, you could try Penrite MHP. It is suppose to be a typeIV replacement.

cool thank you will look in to the penrite fluid :-) any idea roughly how much the trans will take? Found a guy that will do a full trans flush for $160+gst

Capacity of trans. is around 7.2L, allow 12L for a flush, and depends how dirty the fluid is.

It is cheaper to buy it by the 20L drum than 4L packs.
Plenty left over to do a powersteering flush as well.
