I specifically asked Pedders to check out the bushes and they reported them as fine. I realise that they don't take anything apart when they do the checks but they should be able to spot worn bushes, shouldn't they?

Also I swapped back to my old wheels last weekend and no tramlining.

I wondered whether the previous owner in Japan had put on spacers but apparently not.

It just occurred to me that Pedders didn't specifically mention REAR bushes.....I wonder whether they just checked the front ones?

By the sounds of Neil's comment that could be the case?

My XR6 tramlines with standard 17s, Dunlop SP sport 3000s, 235x45x17.
My mate who works for the Bridgestone agent, reckons to run 40lbs in the tyres to help with tramming. I havent tried it yet.

It might help your tramlining but you'll get a very rough ride. It's not really a fix, just a move of the problem to somewhere else.
