Hey guys.

While trying to get to my heater core, and AC unit, i've hit a wall ... there is a big steel bar in front of the two units, and i cant' seem to get it out. If anyone has done this before can you please tell me what my options are? Because this reinforcement bar is in the way of screws that i need to access.

I'm thinking either a) Get the bar off somehow, or b) Get some type of special screwdriver which can go around corners :P

i'll attatch a picture to clarify what i'm exactly talking about:

the bar is bolted on, i can see the bolts in your photo.

Then there is a brace what goes down to the tranni tunnel and is bolted, and is bolted on the drivers side too.

3 on the drivers side of the bar.
2 on passengers side.(Then a brace under that)
1 under steering coloum.(This has to swing loose on the floor)
And the center bar.
Also peel back the carpet to remove the floor vents. And access the lower bolts to the heater assembly.
Also have to unplug some of the harness from the left kick panel.

Then there are 2 x 10mm bolts in the engine bay either side of the heater pipes..and 2 x 10mm bolts either side of the AC pipes. (These you accesss in the engine bay.

Yeah it looks like it. I'm kinda dreading putting it all back together, but i'm the most logical choice as I was the one who ripped it all out ... should be good having a heater and working AC unit once again though heheh
