Only 70K nowadays Wait another 2 years and it will be around 50K, then it will be a possibility... 50K ain't that bad for a car like this, I'd buy it in 2 years time if it drops to that much

Personally I think I'm already too old to look good in a convertable.

Hah, no doubt when I hit my 40's I'll end up buying some topless sports car to try and recapture my youth. Shoot me then please.

That desecrated car makes me so angry!!
I feel so sorry for the owner. He/she must've had some nasty enemies, or maybe it was just some stoned kids. You'd have to be to do that to a car like that!
Aaaah! Even the interior!!

It gives me the urge to lock up my garage extra well tonight...

Clean it off? Look at the "A" etc scratches as well. I would say complete strip and repaint in the colour of your choice.

Well I've hit my forties now and the MX-5 convertable hardtop is starting to look sexy (when engine replaced with a blown Soarer V8!)

Probably easier just to get an S2000 if you want a resonably priced high performance convertable... I doubt you'd fit a 1UZ AND a supercharger in an MX-5 without some serious outlay on firewall mods, tranmission, brake upgrades etc.

Matthew, there's a Bullet Roadster over here that's an MX-5 with custom chasis, custom panels, and your choice of atmo or supercharged 1UZ. Cost a bit more than a second-hand UZZ40 though, and most likely a bit quicker.

If I had the money to buy an SC430 I'd get one. That one from the auction posted though... my God. Even the interior got done :-(

But if the LS430 drops in price to 50 lage then that'd be more tempting

Heh, mad! I love it! Though I think it'd have to be a second car, I can imagine it being quite a handful.

In the paper today, Chrysler have just released a new Jeep Cherokee, with a 6.1 litre V8 capable of 0-100 in under 5 seconds. Silly buggers.
