hi guys, after two days later from what happen to me that night, i really feel scare and deeply regret what i had done that night, because i shouldn't do that no matter what happen, it is very danger and stupid especially i had my wife next to me. I came to Australia 6 years now and i start from Zero, now i got my house, car, good job and just married too, i shouldn't done such a thing that night, also i feel lucky my car won't go any faster then 180kph, other wise i couldn't imagine what will happen to me and my wife if my car won't stop. And i also very sorry i posted the number plate here, i am very worry i will bring a lot of trouble to soarer's member in the future by the police because of this story i tell here. I am very sorry guys. If necessary please delete this thread just in case the police will looking for trouble to every soarer driver in the future.

Sam, As you say, you've achieved a LOT since your arrival in Australia, and it COULD so easily have been lost in an instant if something had gone wrong at high speed...............It didn't, you were lucky (this time). You have had time to reflect on your actions, and I'm pleased to see that you've come to the right conclusions about your actions. I'm sure the Soarer club will survive any undue scrutiny, but I thank you for your apology and concern for your fellow members. Be of good cheer, for you are still here. All the best for the FUTURE Sam

BY the way... About the M6. The sequential 7 speed gearbox can ONLY do the 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds and Standing quarter in 12.5 seconds ONCE every 4 KM's. They have what is designed as an allocated RPM at which the driver can hold the gearshift in DOWN whilst revving the car to just over 4,000rpm. ONce the Gearshift is released, the car will launch from 4,000rpm and do thsoe times. IF, the driver would like to try and launch from those conditions again, the Car MUST travel 4 kilometres until this function is available to the driver again. Oh and the car accelerates the fastest with traction control activated. As it gives the fastes, aggressive possible acceleration for any vehicle weighing in at 1750kg's. Im guessing If he beats you at the 1st set of lights, Wait till the next set for when he/she WONT have that 4,000rpm launch control active, The see how he goes. Hehehe. BUT.. GOing off what MOTOR AUSTRALIA magazine reviewed. the M6 is only capable of the 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds and the standing 1/4mile in anything from 12.8 - 13.2. Depending on which magazine. ( Being Motor and WHeels). This is tested with driver and tank of fuel.(so what would normally be everyday driving conditions.) There was an M5 running at WSID a few weeks back, but i didnt catch the times of it. I will try and find out. Just because a car is tested and runs those times, DONT mean the new driver can handle it or drive it to those times.

Im sure that 500 hp when launched repeatedly from 4000rpm wont be warrantable? Also Sam. Good to here stories about people like yourself. You came here for a good life and are making the most of it. Head down, bum up mate and you will get yourself in a nice pretty place where loans are a thing of the past, and happiness with your family is great.

Sam is a nice guy. I'm pretty sure He had no intention to race. (his car is not even modified-apart from the wheels and maybe a catback exhaust). Being a bloke I understand sometimes it's annoying driving side by side with other modified cars let alone a BMW6 and it was actually ASKING/PROMOTING a race-not sure the exact word (sorry for my bad English). I would have been tempted too and may have done the same thing. I believe many soarer owners in here would have done the same thing. In saying this I don't mean to encourage people to race on the streets, I'm just trying put myself in Sam's position. As I grow older, I appreciate my life more especially now that i'm married I see life even more beautiful. I now drive like a grandpa hehe... cheers, D&H

Station wagon. Aptly named I thought. Looks like a train carriage, handles like a train carriage, and fits as much as one. So there.

it is ok, i had done the silly thing like that and i really deserve people write to me like that, i feel grateful that i have learn and know about the 'True' from this thread, otherwise i will still live in my dream. Be honest, i really enjoy driving 180kph, i was very exciting about it, but the only thing i felt really regret is i had someone else sit next to me that night and not sure the place to safe to drive that fast or not, so very risky! I think if i really want to drive fast again, i will choose to go to the race track, that way is legal and safer. Will start to modify my soarer, but have to do it very slowly, maybe need 5 years time, because in my life i still have other priority to look after first.
