I'm planning on going on a trackday in about two months time and I just wanna do a few things to make it a good day. I'm not planning to set a groundbreaking record or anything, just wanna get in there, do my thing, do it SAFELY and have myself some fun. My car at the moment is pretty much stock, got myself a bov and pod.. that's all!

Had a discussion with a mate and after some calculating I have approximately a grand and a half to spend without digging into my savings. I've thought about what I want to get but I thought I'd ask here to see if you all agree and here's my list:

* Brake pads, Lucas and Ferado have been said two work better under heat, I'll be doing approximately twenty laps around Winton raceway.
* Boost controller (Whether I go for electronic or mechanic depends on everything else I get, but I really would prefer an EBC, probably an AVC-R as I've heard good things about them)
* Lower Control Arm bushes, VFT variety. These babies are so highly recommended by everybody :-)

I thought about getting some cheap rims with good tyres as I recently got some new wheels with super cheap made in taiwan tyres. And i would allocate more for this but I really don't know if I'll be attending a lot of track days.

So is there anything you can recommend I go for as well as/instead of what I've got listed.

Thanks in advance

Flush brake fluid and change your oil BEFORE hitting the track.

Better tyres are more satisfying, but always start at a comfortable pace until you know the limits of the tyres.

Have fun!

didn't think anybody would reply so fast hahaha, but yeah I had that in mind already.

EDIT: I'm now thinking of doing the Phillip Island Super Sprints, that would mean two track days two months in a row. Should i really consider tyres?

If you buy some rims, get 18" and I can supply you with cheap Slicks.

You'll need a Secondary Bonnet Restraint AND a Fire Extinguisher.

A Helmet in EXCELLENT Condition is also a Necessity.

Lucas or Ferrodo Pads - YES get some. Either will be fine.

If you are Serious about coming to Phillip Island I will help you sort these things out at my place on a weekend before the event

At PI, you wont notice much difference in replacing the LCA Bushes. The track is Smooth as Ice.

Stay under budget and get a Manual Boost controller for now .... and Boost Cut Defender ????
