Well, it has to be doesn't it? There is no other way to explain the bizarre psychological warfare that my car is waging on me, Soarers are officially evil cars!!!

Lets take the airbox. V8 one doesn't have the little notch to allow for the fmic piping. V8 window regulator guides have a different stud pattern than the TT does. Memory seats plugs need surgery to fit the TT loom. LCD mirror and sunvisor light mirrors need a custom loom to adapt to the TT.

And I'm sure that somewhere else in the process of transplanting all of Adam's cars parts into mine, I'll find some other obstacle to overcome! Have many people taken the crash pad out? I have the dreaded bubble above the centre aircon vents and am thinking about taxing that of Adam too, I just don't want to find out that the bloody V8 dash has different mounting points to the TT after 6 hours work.

Eh, that's my rant for the evening. At least I have leather seats now

Its because the nice V8 parts must resist being put into the cheap TT in any way possible!

the LCD mirror was available on the TT. It's weird that Toyota made the LCD mirror plugs different on TT's and V8's? Wonder why they would do that?

Obviously they wouldn't go to the expense of fitting every car with an item that they didn't all need. Then again, Mr T has done some strange things in his time, like the Camry (can't remember what model) that had six different NON interchangable water pumps used through out its production run, go figure?!?

Sounds like the chief engineer was busy in the back office with the promo girls when the "revised" pumps got approved for production..
